Health Benefit Exchange Carrier Stakeholder Meeting

Good morning –
The meeting between the Health Benefit Exchange and carriers is being rescheduled due to an unexpected event. The new date is Wednesday, October 13th at 3:00. We apologize for this change.
We are currently compiling the necessary elements for the design and development of the HBE’s technology platform, website, customer service center and mailroom. Carrier input is essential as we go through this process, and would like to hear “lessons learned” from transition experiences in other states, as well as, to learn what you believe are the most essential aspects of ensuring a successful transition, particularly as it relates to the carrier experience. Please continue to forward input and questions to ExchangeDivision@scc.virginia.gov.
We plan to hold regular carrier meetings as we move through the development stage and beyond with the person each carrier designates as their primary contact. We also plan to have smaller group discussions with contacts you name to act as your SMEs on – Information Technology and Security, – Enrollment and Customer Service, and – Outreach, Education, and Marketing. As we get closer to transition, we expect there may be one-on-one touch points needed with each carrier in the lead-up to launch.
